“MEET AT CITY HALL”
National Day of Prayer - Thursday, May 1, 2008 - 12 Noon
“Meet at City Hall” is a grassroots prayer initiative. On May 1st, 2008 in honor of the National Day of Prayer Christians will be on site praying at every City Hall and County Courthouse in Central Florida from 12 Noon – 1 p.m. Come gather with your neighbors to pray in unity for our nation, its leaders and people.
Each site is being covered by at least one intercessor that day, but "back-up" is needed! This initiative is taking place in Orange, Osceola, Seminole, Volusia, Brevard, Lake and Polk Counties, so if you live or work there, please go and pray at one of those City Hall or County Courthouse sites!

Plan to go to the City Hall or County Courthouse closest to your home or work place at Noon on May 1st. Please invite your family, friends and co-workers to join you as you “Meet at City Hall” to stand in the gap for our nation.

Holy Father, in a world where so many are hungry, You have given us food in abundance;
In a world where so many are hurting, You offer to bind up our wounds;
In a world where so many are lonely, You offer friendship to every heart;
In a world longing for peace, You offer hope.
Yet, we are so stubborn and resistant. Have mercy upon us, Lord.
Our nation is at a crossroads this year; we look to you to be our strength and shield.
Please give us the guidance to elect one who will honor you and to respond to the wisdom from above
so that our hope may be renewed and our blessings be treasured. In God's holy name.

Oración por nuestra nación Dr. Ravi Zacharias
Padre santo, en un mundo donde hay tantos hambrientos, nos has dado alimento en abundancia. En un mundo donde hay tantos sufriendo, nos ofreces vendar nuestras heridas. En un mundo donde tantas personas se sienten solas, ofreces amistad a cada corazón. En un mundo que añora la paz , nos ofreces esperanza.
No obstante, nosotros somos tan obstinados y nos resistimos. Ten misericordia de nosotros, Señor. Este año nuestra nación se encuentra en una encrucijada; Alzamos nuestros ojos pidiéndote que seas nuestra fortaleza y nuestro escudo. Danos, te pedimos, la guía para elegir a aquél que te honre y escuche la sabiduría que viene de lo alto de tal forma que nuestra esperanza pueda renovarse y podamos atesorar bendiciones. En el nombre santísimo de Dios.
